About
Hi, I'm Luke Martinez.
Why LM Systems exists
I'm the founder and sole operator of LM Systems Consulting LLC, based in Yakima, WA and working remote. I started this business to solve one specific problem: early-stage app teams ship fast and can't yet justify a full-time QA hire — so bugs reach real users before anyone catches them.
LM Systems is that missing QA function, brought in fractionally, and accelerated with AI tooling so a solo consultant can cover more ground than a traditional one-person QA effort usually could.
What "AI-accelerated" actually means
I use Claude Code as a working tool, not a gimmick. It helps me write and expand test coverage faster than a manual-only workflow, and helps me reproduce and document bugs into clear, dev-ready tickets quickly. The judgment — deciding what's actually worth testing, what a bug report needs to say to be useful, what risk matters most before a launch — is still mine. AI speeds up the work; it doesn't replace the QA thinking behind it.
How I work
- Solo, by design — no account managers, no handoffs. You talk directly to the person doing the work.
- Black-box, hands-on testing of your real user flows, the way an actual user would hit them.
- Automated Playwright suites that run on a schedule, so regressions get caught before release, not after.
- Dev-ready bug reports — reproduction steps and diagnosis, not vague descriptions.
Track record so far
As the contract QA behind a pre-launch app, I caught dozens of bugs before release and built 150+ automated Playwright tests running on a scheduled cron job to catch regressions going forward. That engagement has since ended — details are kept anonymized here, but the numbers are real. Read the full case study →
Outside of QA
I also build small business tools and websites end-to-end — this site is one of them, designed and shipped with the same AI-accelerated workflow I use for testing.
